While taking a shortcut through the Arlen High School parking lot, is mistaken for a truant student by a security guard and forced into the building. To avoid being bullied by actual high schoolers, Bobby invents a tragic backstory: he claims his small stature is caused by a congenital kidney disease, earning him the nickname "Kidney Boy" and instant popularity.

The truth comes out when the high schoolers attempt to prank middle schoolers attending their own dance with water balloons. Bobby stands up for Connie and eventually confesses that they are both middle schoolers. Despite the soaking and initial anger from the older students, they eventually grant Bobby a ticket to the high school prom because his "Kidney Boy" persona helped them win the No Doubt concert.
