The high seas (and shipyards) get a lot bloodier in " Captive ," the fifth episode of Fear the Walking Dead 's second season. After the cliffhanger that saw Alicia and Travis taken by Connor’s pirate crew, this episode focuses on a high-stakes rescue mission that proves the Salazar family might be the most dangerous people on the Abigail .

"Captive" moves at a breakneck pace compared to earlier episodes this season. It effectively wraps up the "pirate" threat while deepening the cracks in Chris's psyche and highlighting the ruthless pragmatism of the Salazars. With the family finally reunited, the Abigail is officially back on its path toward Mexico .
