The film follows Marybeth Dunston, now played by (replacing Tamara Feldman), as she escapes the deformed, supernatural killer Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). Seeking the truth about her family's connection to the legend, she teams up with voodoo shop owner Reverend Zombie (Tony Todd). Zombie recruits a group of hunters—some with secret ties to Crowley's past—to return to the Louisiana swamp for a final showdown.
