: Of the nearly 17,000 attendees, more than 10,000 ran the flagship 10-mile race, which is famous for its "Bradley Hills" and the blue line painted on the road to guide runners.

: The 2011 event was one of the final years the Crim Fitness Foundation helped manage the Brooksie Way Half Marathon before focusing more heavily on its Flint-based programs.

The signature race saw dominant performances from international and local elite runners:

: Julius Kogo of Kenya repeated his title with a time of 47:14 (some reports noted 47:15), becoming only the fourth man in the race's history to repeat as champion.

: Hundreds of volunteers supported the event, and thousands of spectators lined the bricks of Saginaw Street to cheer on finishers.

: Evelyn Lagat (also from Kenya) took first place for the women.
