For trips in 2026, the savings for residents are significant, but attempting to use them as a non-resident will likely result in being stopped at the turnstile. Guests under the age of 18 typically do not need to show ID, provided the adult accompanying them has valid Florida residency proof.

Each adult (18+) using a resident ticket must show a valid Florida ID at the gate. If you cannot prove residency, you will be directed to Guest Services to pay the price difference for a standard non-resident ticket.

While a Florida resident can physically purchase Universal Studios tickets for you , you will be able to use the Florida resident discount unless you are also a resident.

If you are a resident but simply don't have a Florida driver's license yet, you can still use the discount by presenting a government-issued photo ID (like a passport) along with one of the following dated within the last two months: A Florida mortgage statement, lease, or deed.
